How to notify customers if they are offline?

Offline Email Notification

When your customers go offline, the chat messages you send to them will automatically be converted into email format and sent to their inboxes. This means that even if your customers are offline, you can still keep in touch with them and ensure that you don't miss any important conversations or business opportunities.


Please follow the below steps to set up offline Email Notifications.

1. Step 1: Please refer to App store > Email.



2. Step 2: Click Add an email.


3. Step 3: Choose your email provider to complete email integration.


4. Step 4: Kindly go to App store > Installed Apps > choose Shopify or JavaScript store.



5. Step 5: Please go to Integrations, choose the according integrated email address for your single or multi stores.


6. Step 6: Go to App store > Live Chat > Content > Enable Pre-chat survery, choose the single or multi-stores and enable email data collection.



7. Step 7: Take a preview of how it works.

  If your customers close the current webpage or lose the internet connection, they will be regarded as offline status by Willdesk ;



Your response to the merchant will also be mailed to the customer's email inbox.

PS: If your customer submits an invalid email address, the email can't be sent successfully.
